The Progressive Technology Project (PTP) has developed an ambitious set of programs to strengthen and meet the divergent needs of diverse grassroots community-led organizing groups using technology to advance their efforts. To that end, PTP developed an self-assessment tool that will help organizations think about what they do and how technology can support their work.
This comprehensive offline assessment tool will help any non-profit assess its performance with regard to the following areas: mission and vision; strategic planning and evaluation; programming; community participation; advocacy/public relations; marketing; financial health and planning, monitoring and reporting; fundraising; governance/board management; human resources; information technology systems; facilities management. Larger organizations will find the tool useful to identify strenghts and weaknesses.
"Telehealth is the use of communications and information technology - often videoconferencing - to deliver health and health care services, information and education where participants are separated." This short protocol help communities who use telehealth to verify their level of preparedness in using the technologies and communications tools to provide health services. This assessment tool could also be useful to other organisations who use videoconferencing in remote areas.
This assessment tool aims to help Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) to increase their performance with regard to Information Security or cybersecurity. "This Tool is not intended to provide a complete and detailed list of information security policies or practices one must follow. Rather, it is intended to help a president or institutional leadership identify general areas of concern as they relate to the ISG Framework." The tool overviews organizational reliance on IT, the risk management, the people, the processes, and the technologies used to secure IT in the organizations.

The IT tools listed on that webpage will help you determine "how to make compelling requests for technology funding"; "how to assess needs"; "how to plan upgrades and to determine cost-effectiveness".
